...and not the second one - but the first. Sitting in the stand the possee were debating Kevin Mac's options in spraying his passes wide or the lack of oppotunities due to the formation. With that very next instance he does exactly that and twenty seconds later the lads are one up.
I still have an unease over our flanks and I fret that better opponents will counter-act. The wide players are up with the highest line on a continual basis. Kevin Mac has done a wonderful job switching play, today for a brief spell was the first time in several games this has re-appeared as an attacking option.
I was impressed today with the hold-up play of the lad Ibe. He looks a tenacious little so and so. I do think the forwards need to make themselves more available and drop-off.
I'm getting more impressed with each performance. As is of yet I have not been overly impressed with any of the opposition this season but the lads look physically in good nick and mentally robust.
The work ethic of the lads is very commendable. It's a very encouraging start, credit to one and all.

Kevin and Casey epitomise that work ethic, they never stop running.
As for the second goal, two points - yes the ball had probably gone out, but the linesman never gave it, the referee eventually worked out the correct decision as Leon (flagged offside) didn't interfere with play, not sure we can give Ollie the goal though as it was a cross and off target until the deflection took it in. Own goal IMO.
Great win, Borough were awful, but first half we looked unstoppable and could have been 6 up at half time.

It may have taken a minute or so, but full credit to the referee for getting to the right outcome on the second goal.
Agree it probably was an own goal, but I had to make a decision at the time (for Livescores more than announcing it) - and as neither I or the Harrow people in the board had any idea which defender it had deflected off, I decided to give it to Ollie. I doubt we'll be changing it now.
Watching the first half from the PA room was a joy to behold, we were excellent, and agree we should have been further ahead.

Unless Steve can confirm that the ball went into the opposite half (side to side) of the goal, I would credit Ollie with the goal. From side on it looked as if he was shooting at goal, and my angle suggested that the ball was deflected more up than sideways. As managers love to say, however, it is all about angles. I spoke with a number of Harrow fans after the game and although they said it was an own goal, they also admitted they would have been disappointed for the shooter if it had been at the other end. As with Steve, I immediately credited Ollie with the goal and also had no idea which Borough player had deflected the ball into the net.
Credit to the referee for conferring to his assistant about the goal. It happens too rarely. I think both were correct, there was a player in an offside position and he may have been interfering with the goalkeeper?s line of sight. However, the referee?s angle - there's that word again - suggested he had no bearing on where the ball went or denied Charlie Horlock the chance of making a save (his defender did that!). The later decision to rule out the goal was spot on as the player in an offside position (Kezie?) clearly affected the way Horlock went for the ball, irrespective of whether he touched the ball or not. This is the greyest of grey areas when it comes to active and passive offside decisions.
