Apologies if already posted
How can one man take all this away from our community all our football clubs history just thrown in the bin for pure selfishness gain!!!
You Boro supporters keep your eye on the site
He must have a building plan in place
To be so heartless and just do this to our town is beyond belief
The new potential owners offered to buy the Ground/Land back and put it in trust for sports only and got told he wouldn’t sell it for a million?
The new owners also offered to clear any rent issues and pay 12 months rent up front!!!
All proposals were simply turned down,
So Ardent Tigress
Mark Lowther
And
Neil Robinson
Have simply closed the local football club down for there own gain,

“Rent nothing to do with it” “was paying rent”

Yet more hubris from the JG. The rent not the issue now. So what was the issue?
The increase in debt since his tenure began perhaps? Or perhaps that was the fault of others. 🤷♂️

One of the most incredible things about this time boro going bust is JG moaning on Facebook blaming everyone claiming he done absolutely nothing wrong and people in their masses just lapping it up - incredible really
Didn’t know until this event if you have a landlord and you don’t pay your bills you are the victim and the person you owe money to is in the wrong - crazy
But the mentality of people really does amaze me - is it cause of his name reputation and people just trying to suck up to him really don’t get it ???? Like watching the Godfather and Don G has been screwed and mob looking for someone to blame

Said before AT bought the Stadium with the intention of kicking Boro out, JG was not alone involved in running the club so others including SE, Dan A, must have known the rent was in arrears, don't believe the rent was the reason AT kicked us out but do believe it gave them the excuse, hypothetically wonder what AT would say if a new club was set up and no one from the previous incarnation was involved and then approached them about LW !!!

You said this when Smurf was selling?
When nobody knew anything about AT…. They may not even have existed.
At the end of the day the responsibility stops at the top. If the top delegate to others (who don’t follow instructions) then who delegated to them?
All JG has given them is an earlier opportunity to remove boro - what have Boro been doing to prepare for that event in three years?
All I can see is spend on the team, get promotion then be left with no ground.

Boro leisure will soon not exist and have not even had a leased ground to use for 4 months and not owned one for about 10 years

JG has gone.
He is speaking out for himself.
He wants to be heard.
I'm not linking the two, we have just had a sensible discussion about liquidation, we need to appreciate that on the face of it we have two very enthusiastic, potential new owners, who want to explain their plans to us & the sooner the better in my opinion, we need to cut them some slack & listen to what they have to say?

HMRC are the real danger!
They could issue a winding up petition & that would mean an immediate forced liquidation.
How that would impact on the Club's plans, I don't know?

As has been pointed out by quite a few now there were multiple breaches of the lease not just rent.
So it was made v easy for re entry of landlord.
JG interview inaccurate on CWR and there will be written evidence otherwise.
It also seems to me the announcement of the Phoenix club has come far too early given Boro Leisure hasn’t gone into liquidation yet. Presumably they’ve been bounced into it by JG interview but presumably FA will be watching.

I have been an interested observer for some time as this shambles has unfolded. Claim, counterclaim, blame. From my experience of running sports clubs, committed volunteers with experience of their sport are not the only qualities required . Increasingly, business acumen, a grasp of regulation and negotiating skills are needed. I am not convinced that this amalgam has existed in the recent past so would hope that in the event that NBFC or the next entity re-appears people with these qualities are involved.

Liquidation is a lengthy process.
If they achieve that aim within 3 months, they will be doing very well.
It could easily take 12 months or longer, there is no time limit to such a process.
Their first task is to decide which is the best method to liquidate Boro Leisure Ltd.

Ian Neale did it obscenely quickly and was very bad for the creditors, our name was mud for quite a while but it happened with only a couple of seasons of lower league for the club as we know. This time its far more serious.

Yep - I actually think you’ve talked a fair bit of sense today about the various options.
Although you seem to have forgotten that breaching the lease took away a statutory right to renewal. And thereby made Boor irrelevant to future plans for LW!

That's just a smokescreen you keep putting up Gustavus.
AT needed to get rid of their sitting tenant & you know that!

Re: JG - CWR
Views: 509
The sitting tenant removed themself by defaulting on the lease in several ways.
And as you correctly deduced a few weeks ago that automatically removed the statutory right to renew.
So no reason for future involvement in LW discussions

You keep wanting to 'oust' the Boro from any future negotiations at LW.
I don't believe that was the original intention, unless there is some truth to what JG is now saying?
My own view is that there was probably good intent on the part of AT but once they had done their sums properly, what was being discussed wasn't affordable, they took an action based on a commercial decision, hoping that they could cover their tracks & the Boro have unwittingly given them all of the ammunition they need!

Unfortunately longer I think
As I say they haven’t gone INTO liquidation yet presumably because no director.
So there will be winding up order by someone like HMRC and compulsory liquidation is taken much more seriously than voluntary. There may well be consequences

I’m no legal expert but for boro to be kicked out the ground they did something wrong - if they did nothing wrong then the landlord couldn’t have kicked them out. If he did kick them out for no reason then that would be illegal and would have been the easiest slam dunk of a case for the lawyers but that hasn’t happened …
So in my view with lack of knowledge boro are sadly in the wrong and maybe just me but how can people not see that

I said it before and I’ll say it again.
The landlords were not the ones who didn’t pay the rent.
The landlords were not paying silly money to the players over paying bills.
The landlords were not subletting LW to JAG.
The landlords didn’t con everyone with a boost the budget campaign at season.
Landlords didn’t increase the debt by £200k.
But alas, all the landlords fault and only the landlords. How dare they and only they destroy the club.

At the end of the day i presume the Manager/ Chairman and the Directors all knew the extent of the debt we were in
so what happened, we paid players/ Staff large amounts of money we could not afford, we even stopped paying the rent, that's why we are where we are now No Club, if we do go into liquidation this will be the 3rd time !!
