So unless there's one i've missed every player has found a club at the same level two at a higher level . None have had to drop down . Not counting loanees who had already gone .

I dont think much can be read into that, given the timing BUT my view is only 2 (perhaps Storer as well) were really North standard so JG and AD would have to place a lot.
Given some of the players they gave contracts to I would not be optimistic.

Suprised by that; short term
He didnt seem the type of manager who could turn round a club. He was very stuck in his methods and brought players in who could fit into that.
