Cam McWilliams

Subject of a bid from another club, apparently.
Didn’t realise he was contracted, but in our situation, whilst I think Cam is our best player, we’d be foolish to turn down a cash offer imo.

Could it be if he is non-contract that it is a seven days notice approach. No fee involved and player moves to a better deal ?

Possible - sort of thin JG would do. Give contracts to Chettle, Tomlinson, Lafleur, rowe-turner, himself and AD but not to someone who could actually move to a higher club.

Unless a very serious Winding Up Order in pending (would the club know?) then I can see it limping on.
When (or will) we hear about the potential new owners announced before Christmas?

Nothing to add Jebbs. Keep an eye on the departure lounge, and pray that KS does not lose his nerve.

I told the Mrs it was game over for the Boro.
Now I'm expected to decipher riddles 😂

Who are the contracted players? They can’t just walk away. We would want a fee. McWilliams Tomlinson Stenson and Jezeph are the ones I would expect to be contacted but not 100% sure.

Just because someone is contracted, you don’t have to demand a fee.
Sometimes better to let them go and save on their wages

I don’t believe Stenson is on a contract.
Chettele and rowe-turner are (I believe).
So of the three named all are/were/nearly loaned out this season. A testament of JG ability in signing younger player maybe?

They can walk away if the club and they agree to cancel contracts to save money, and why would any club pay a fee knowing the mess Boro are in

Re: Cam McWilliams

Because McWilliams is a very good player, who could play at a higher level & will attract interest from other clubs.

A club isnt going to pay a fee knowing the mess Boro are in, naive to think they would

If the club don’t agree they can’t. Would be stupidity to let good players go for nothing or very little money.

Doesnt work like that, if Boro want them.off the wage bill other clubs arent going to pay money for them, thats just how it is

Yes - boro save say £500/ week or wait 5 weeks in hope of a £2500 fee.
Only power boro have is sell on clause.
If a player wants to leave at this level (particularly in boors state) there is little you can do to stop it.

Maybe a swap deal, like a club from higher up may offer us a player exchange maybe loan signing with the high club paying there wages. With Cam leaving on a free or something.

It is plausible though.
Solihull for example take Cam off us and loan us their under 21 right back

Nirennold can play at right back/right wing back very effectively, he is also a quality player & is good going forward & can score goals.
He's being used on the right-hand side of a back three at the moment.
He is one of our best players.

Surprised he’s not been mentioned as one to potentially leave as he potentially is a good earner given his career

He joined in the close season from Gloucester City & although he is 34-years old, he is still very fit & IMO could play once again in the National League North.
He must be an ever present so far this season.

Im not surprised by the interest in him. definitely our best player. Id think a lower national side might take him or a north/south side who are going for promotion

I think in a full-time environment, he would do very well.
My concern with Hereford would be that they are part-time & that could hold him back.
