'' bounce back abilty''

What a pleasant change today was, a Tuesday evening away game and we didn't have to leave Staines at 3pm.
My first visit to Kingfield road and to be greeted by a Farnborough type stand behind the goal I started to wonder if the local non league trend is to build a 2,000 seat stand behind one goal but pay no attention to other areas of the ground ! Good coffee though ..

Hats off to the Hayes and Yeading fans who have to make that journey week in week out, guess that's what non league football fans are all about, just hope there loyalty is appreciated by the club at the end of the season . I believe the attendance was in the region of 120. of which Staines made up around 40 at least .

So to the game ... as I said I expected Staines to bounce back tonight and there tempo was good 1st half and in my humble opinion were unfortunate to go in half time 1 -0 down.

2nd half was much the same with Staines looking more likely to get back in the game .. Which they did with a floated free kick that eluded everyone and nestled in the net , and the 2nd was an unmarked back post header.

This was without doubt a fantastic response after Saturdays result.

The lads showed greater fight , spirit and determination .

And yet again each and every played came over to the travelling fans at the end of the game and showed there appreciation for our support ..

Don't forget Swans

'' its all swings and roundabouts''
