How close is Spelthorne to local lockdown following another rise in coronavirus cases? This is the headline from an article in Get Surrey, an online local newspaper. Spelthorne have an infection rate of 42 per 100,000 of population. This is moving closer to to the numbers where local lockdown occurs. The critical areas are Stanwell, Ashford (whereI live) and Staines. We have to ensure the rule of six is adhered to - and when we see people ignoring this in the football ground, we must point it out over the tannoy. It threatens our chances of watching football at Wheatsheaf Park ........ and we will all have to go grouse shooting on Saturdays, where the rules don't apply!!
