So the season is drawing to an exciting conclusion, six points from six on the road last week have drawn Staines ever closer to the comfort zone , but lets not become complacent.

We face some tough battles at Wheatsheaf park against teams who are fighting for automatic promotion and the play offs, these will be tough games.

Not many teams will be able to play on a pitch in such great shape as ours at this stage of the season especially after all the awful weather around the country.
A final push to the end of the season is what's required, a return to our early season home form would surely see us safe and comfy mid table.
I have found my return to the Staines non league family both welcoming and enjoyable and I hope my forum musings have lightened the mood somewhat.

in the close season I will put together a fanzine type thingy of all my posts and some extra unedited stuff from away days and home games and next season I intend doing a video diary of selected away days .

after all if you cant have fun and a laugh watching football what's the point !
