Marcus was asked to resign after yesterdays game .
What ever our opinions on the situation of the team , I think we can all agree that Marcus was a decent footballing guy , always had time for the fans on the coach during away days and has brought on some very talented youngsters at the club

Absolutely, he always had time for us on Radio Wey, very approachable, and as you say a splendid chap, it just wasn't working out for him at Staines this season for some reason. All the best Marcus.

Marcus is a good guy but football is a results driven business and the table doesn't lie, results have not been good enough all season. He did a good job last year but you can't reflect on the past and this year has been truly awful. I think the decision to part company has been left too late as we are going to need a miracle worker now to avoid relegation. However a change can only be for the good.
