Bracknell

Very enjoyable afternoon at Bracknell-our team did STFC proud. Worked hard and gave Bracknell their hardest game for a long time (that was from a Bracknell official ) .B. supporters also clapped our players as they left the pitch . With a little luck the header from Reece in first half -crashed off crossbar- and shot in second half -rebounded off upright-could have narrowed the margin.

Bracknell have a very strong squad and it is easy to see why they are clear at the top.Obviously the playing budget is well funded and a great deal of money has been invested in the ground and club house -perhaps one of the best grounds I have visited in a long time .Certainly a club going places over the next few years.Reflecting ,I guess, a proud owner with a clear vision which is attracting a a very good number of supporters .

Well done to the STFC supporters who made the trip -and respect to Chico who is pushing the squad on .

Best wishes to all
Norm

Agreed, we were unlucky, i think the ref had a home win on his coupon, but dont forget how many good saves Luke pulled off. What i liked about Staines was they didnt give up they kept going forward and worried Bracknell by belng in their faces right through the game and making them so uncomfortable that they kept falling over, and the ref fell for it. We gave a good squad we just need a bit of luck.

A very good performance against a team running away with the league.
15 wins on the bounce is no mean feat.
I echo what Norman says about Bracknell officials saying that it was possibly their toughest game of the season.
With a bit more luck we could have got a point.
Hitting the woodwork twice and having a dubious goal scored against us showed that the luck wasn't with us yesterday.
Bracknell were good on the attack but looked a bit shaky in defence.

Thanks Norm. I think you have given voice to those supporters who went. I have only heard good reports, an unlucky result, and some questionable refereeing. I wasn't there and so I nominated for man of the match all those supporters who went. Happy New Year to you - band Christmas over, plenty of crackers being disposed of .......
Chinese man goes to the doctors, Chinese man says; "doctor me feel sick" so the doctor replies with; "when i feel ill or sick, i make love to my wife" so the Chinese man does as he says and returns the next day and says; oh me feel much better now.. your home very nice"
