Where did we go wrong? I rather thought after Saturday that we would be ok, or are we not interested in Cups?

Would like to hope that we could do well in the Surrey Senior Cup.

Looking at the team there were 10 changes from the league game, only Matte Pierson was retained from Saturday's side. Leigh Dynan has built up a strong squad which means competition for places and he must take opportunities to give game time to players who haven't yet had many chances in the side. It is a long season and we are less likely to suffer from players suspended or injured if we have strength in depth. Most of this side will be needed for league games at some point and if it means we can maintain a promotion challenge, I would rather us use this type of game to give everyone a chance. Leigh's biggest challenge could be to keep those selected less often happy. It has been a long time since we were a level 3 non league side and I for one would love to see us back there, and if early exits from cup competitions leave us with a congestion free fixture list, improving our promotion chances, I am happy with that

Thanks for the detail Brian, being away I did not have any detail of the team, I partly suspected this was what happened.
