Midfield is where we are losing games.

It's terrible.

Our defence is reasonable. Cuthbert is one of the best. Nugent and Wilko are good enough. Wildin and Hunt or Henry can are good enough.

Newton is good. Guthrie or Revell will do.

But our midfield is shit.

Put Seddon on the left that's that position sorted. He is good.

Right mid could be Kennedy of he's having a good day.

Byrom is static and too slow to be playing alongside Timlin. They both just sit and are easily dispossessed, caught in possession and little forward momentum.

We could accommodate one if we had a dynamic attacking goalscoring midfielder alongside them.

Today the formations were baffling. Chucked on all our strikers who just stood up top leaving. No width and just two slow midfielders sitting in front of the back 4. No chance of building any play as we had zero width or options. Forwards can't do anything if they don't get the ball.

Newton having to cover RB is not the best position for him.

We're over-complicating things. Just play our best players in their best positions and don't play both Timlin and Byrom.

Sadly we have little chance of the playoffs playing like today.
