"I'm not sure when it became unacceptable to not be happy with a players performance because they put two good passes in over 90 minutes"

Have you not been on Borochat for the last 5 years? Every time I criticise a defender for not being able to pass the ball 10 yards, I get slaughtered, saying that I'm expecting too much from a League Two defender.

Anyway, my point wasn't so much that you should be happy with a player's performance because they put two good passes in over 90 minutes, it was more the fact that, in my opinion, Osborne is criminally underrated.

I'm not sure if you saw the stats I posted about Osborne over the past 9/10 months, of our record when he has started vs when he has come off the bench vs when he hasn't been used at all. (/ If you don't want to read it all: in the 20 games he has started since Jan 26, 2021 (of a possible 36), we have won 9, drawn 9, lost 3. By comparison, in the 7 games he has been used as a sub, we have won 2, drawn 3, lost 3, and in the 10 games he did not start, we have won 3, drawn 1, lost 6. Now obviously you could argue causation vs correlation, but that's a pretty reasonable sample size and it pretty heavily favours Osborne starting.

I personally think he is one of our most important players.
