Too much football?

With the debate about cutting the PL to 18 clubs and some managers moaning about fixture congestion, should we be looking for a reduction in fixtures, league and cup(s)?

Given the limitations on squad sizes should we be binning the lesser trophies or reducing the league by a couple of teams so we don't play twice a week quite as often?

Would the reduced schedule deliver better match quality with more training and coaching time available?

It might reduce income a bit but given we make virtually nothing from the league cup and no-one cares about the Papa John Cup maybe they could go and no-one would miss them.

And the HSC //sarcasm//
