Finished 1-0 to Boro
Gavin Hoyte own goal.
Ferry, Martin, Smith, JCR, Iontton all started.
Dino and Goodliffe were there observing.
Decent nights entertainment.

Martin & Smith still around then.
If DM cannot offload them & Goodard budget wise this will bite.

Might have to start playing hardball to get rid. In early every morning, training with the kids, make them attend every match but in a minibus not the team coach, stretch their contractual obligations to the limit.

In fairness, whilst Smith and Martin are basically dead to me, Goddard I'd be happy to retain. But he'll never be a Dino type of player.

Murray and I said the same last night. Yet it seems Goddard hasn't even reported back since the summer break. Not seen him at all.

I liked him. Felt he was just what we needed at the time when he signed.

I would much rather the other two!

Smith, Martin, Goddard in that order.

Would like to think that if they remain at the club they’ll buy into what Dino wants or have enough about them to try force their way into his thoughts.

If they’re the sort of players who will happily pick up a pay packet and not play then that’s bad news and we have to question why they were allowed into the club in the first place.

Sounds familiar like when under the GS era, length of contracts an issue as well I believe.

I heard from an irrefutable source that Martin turned down an offer of £400 a week more from Swindon to join us. I assume he received assurances from Sarll that he would never have to break sweat in a Boro shirt.

Tell them they can get him about 800 a week cheaper now and I'll drive him there myself.

Which at the moment is very difficult. I broke sweat in a boro shirt just sitting still in the shade earlier.

75.9-78.4 Kg this week. It's not been a good couple of days...

Well in all truth it's been an excellent couple of days and that's the problem.

Trialists Rhys Murrell-Williamson and Donovan Makoma played too. Neither did much, but nobody did really. Young Macsen Fraser at LB was probably the stand out player.

Edit: Catching up with match thread from last night, Michael Donohue played the first half too. His cross led to the Own Goal.
