Wilko or Nugent

I can't help but think that we would be better off playing Wilko ahead of Nugent along side Scotty. Nugent offers nothing apart from long balls which go to an opposition or go out for a throw. The substitution at Cambridge was horrendous, arguably our most reliable player on the pitch is subbed ahead of Nugent who had a rubbish game.

Doesn't really matter. Both L2 standard individuals.

Let's sort the tactics, shape, CM and wingers then worry about it.

Why are you comparing our sub keeper to our CB?

Hardly comparable positions.

Do we know if Cuthbert has picked up a knock?
I don’t see much difference in the distribution between Wilko and Nugent. They are league two centre backs. I’m not convinced by Nugent but I think he’s been good in the last two games. I thought he was one of the better performers yesterday.

He's unfashionable so people look for a mistake in him.

I prefer Wilko, but Nugent has done well. The reaction of some fans make him come across as Jamie McCombe who was fucking dreadful.

The last 3 games I have seen, Nugent has been fine. I have a personal preference for Wilko but Nugent is not a problem for us. He deals with the danger on the whole. And Wilkinson is no passer of the ball so if you were dropping Nugent for hoofing then you wouldn't put Wilkinson in in place.

I don't mind Nugent, plus our other defensive options aren't too bad. I'm more concerned with our creativity in midfield and upfront.

On a related tangent, I get an ad for Wilko the shop at the top of the page. I found it amusing.
