He'll sign Manchester United youth players on loan as he doesn't have a scooby doo about the lower leagues.

It won't end well.

If he gets a job in the Prem/Champ it is claimed it os because of his name, if he tries to learn his trade lower down it is claimed he will fail because he doesn't know the level. Guy cannot win.

He never struck me as the management type as a player, but it could work with the right set up around him.

Oldham don't seem like they are a patient club on the manger front though!

Find it strange how someone can manage one club and still have a 10% share in another?

Didn't he talk about giving up his share in Salford if he pursued this? I'm pretty sure it would be an FA requirement, given how they are with other similar issues.

It isn't, they have already sanctioned it, even if in the same division next season.

That seems very strange to me but I guess it's why things like the Watford/ Udinese relationship are also given the green light. I guess you could argue it's no difference from any other business.

I see your point and can understand the Watford scenario....but that’s across different leagues in different countries. I would have thought being in the same country would be different?

Article on BBC syas he's had to give up his Director position with Salford but under league rules he can keep his 10% share in the club.
