75 points is what was needed in 2 of the last 3 seasons to get into the playoffs. 70 points in the other.
Suggests we might need to win 9 of our last 13 games to secure a place. Not impossible but given inconsistency perhaps just out our reach. If we can get a bit of momentum going though you never know.
Good news is we should be safe from relegation, although another 3 points will surely make certain.
half of our games are against play-off teams
northampton 3 points
oldham 3 points
bury 0 (best team i have seen this season).
swindon 1 point
macclesfield 3 points
notts c 1 point
grimsby 1 point
carlisle 1 point
port vale 3 points
mansfield 1 point
cheltenham 3 points
Have we ever beaten Northampton? Always strike me a bogey team, definitely away they were until the point his year.
Hollywood Walton scored a late winner against them at home that I can remember.
You mean Grimsby 1 point and 2 cups, don't you?
Only three defeats between now and the end of the season?
Bloody hell that's optimistic.
I think we could well lose to Swindon and Mansfield as well as your3 picks.
But I think we'll destroy Notts Cunty in what will be the best day of the season.
County are in better form than us ATM
not that you put notts county in the top six of your prediction comp.
or had a few quid on them at the start of the season.
well i done both.
Don't know if they might have turned a corner. Beating Mansfield was a surprise. Bury and Mansfield are th3 best teams I've seen.
They've got Enzio Boldewijn back (he always cuts inside and scores) and signed Mackail-Smith, who knows where the net is, and Doyle who is an experienced midfielder. Don't think that game will be at all easy.
I think two from Yeovil, Morecambe, Port Vale or Cheltenham will go down.
Darren Way is close to completing his three year project to take Yeovil back down to the Conference.
I live deep in the heart of Yeovil country and there is simply disbelief locally that someone with his record is still in a job.
They've now lost six in a row so by the time you read this, he might not be...
It is hilarious, they were doing poorly and their fans all wanted him gone so their board gave him a contract extension a couple of months back! Mad.
Vale's chairman is detested by their fans and apparently hardly ordered any hot food or drink at their game at the weekend to spite them.
Drew with Lincoln, won at FGR, beat Mansfield. Three big results.
Yeovil and Vale on the way down.
Yeovil are worth a sneaky punt. Best side I had seen earlier in the season.
notts county wont go down got a few loans to get them out of trouble.
as for teams to go down yeovil and Macclesfield .
Agree about Bury. By far the best side I have seen this season, deserve to be Champions IMO.
