1. You're wrong about Martin IMO. Might have experience and talent but he's at that stage of his career where it's just a job, simply doesn't care enough to bust a gut and put his body on the line.

2. Why does no-one mention Lascelles when talking about good loan players? He's captaining a PL side. Name another loan player from recent years that has gone on to achieve that week in week out.

Thought Lascelles was solid but nothing special for us. Being a CB playing at RB we probably didn’t see the full extent of his talent.

Agree, but he's one of the best players to play for us based on howfar he's gone and how quickly.

He only played about 4 games for us at right back. Difficult to have a lasting impact in that position and for such a short period of time.

We'll all remember Chair because he scored 2 goals.

You knew Lascelles was going to be good but I guess we didn't have him long enough to consider him as having any affinity with the club.

People do tend to cite Bradley Johnson though and he was only with us for about 8 games.

(I could be way off with my number of games)

Mad how he couldn't make the Northampton team, came on loan to us, when back to Northampton after 5 games and smashes it, ending up with a career in the Premier League and Championship.

We made him.

Yes he was and made quite an impact in that short spell.....sounds like it was a months loan.

He had the same calmness of quality as Amos and Lascelles.

I haven't listened to the podcast, but if we're talking about best loan signings it has to be Luke Amos for me. I've been going Boro since 2004 and i don't think i've seen a better loan signing yet. He could do 3 players without even touching the ball, class.

Lascelles was fantastic baring in mind he was only 17 at the time. However, he only played as a right back which is a bit meh.

Agreed. Amos was special. Shame we keep picking up these gems towards the back end of the season.

Agree about Amos.

If Chair continues anything close to his form so far he'll overtake him, but he needs to continue to shine first.
