Only got to see half the game but I thought we did well. Could've scored a few. Guthrie was my MOTM.
Shame Farman decided it would be a good idea to try and pass a pace back pass back to Cuthbert in the 93rd minite instead of clear it up field.
Another late goal. This time against us again.
And Ronnie didn't play.
1 person 2 people
Was one of those games that could have gone either way (or neither as it looked for long periods), alas it went Bury’s way.
Still trying to work out how Gibson missed what was a sitter at 0-0. Mustn’t have realised he had the time he did.
Nothing much of note to pick a MOTM for me. Makasi and Chair linked up quite well in the first half. Chair didn’t get much of a sniff but did show his qualities in being able to find space from seemingly nowhere, not afraid to kick the ball at the goal too. Don’t think Guthrie deserves it personally, only turned up for the final 10 minutes to my mind.
Nice to see a section of our fanbase celebrating International Women’s Day with a rendition of “If you want to shag the lino clap your hands.” Thankfully it didn’t last long.
Not the most entertaining game but not the dross that some on social media would want you to believe.
Can’t win them all. On to Tuesday.
Attendance - 3,530
Not sure where they were though.
Re: Attendance - 3,530
I assumed it was 2530 and thought even that looked too high!
Re: Attendance - 3,530
we guessed 2,530! Maybe the 1000 free tickets got lost in the post!
That performance was way above our average level. I enjoyed the first 93 minutes.
We played the wind well in both halves and made Bury look extremely average. Our midfield looked more mobile, unsurprisingly and we got forward down the right particularly well.
Great to see McKee back in the squad and getting some minutes, looked rusty as hell but hopefully the start of a journey back to first team football.
Guthrie second half worked harder than he has done in the past.
I thought Makasi was good first half, anonymous second till he went off.
Didn't take our chances though. Need Newton back, or a decent finisher.
Thought the referee had a solid game overall and by this season's standards I thought the atmosphere was sustained, which says something about the way we dominated the play. Shame some of the ET yoof thought it was funny to sing about how they'd shag the assistant referee, like she'd look twice at pigeon chested 14 year old boys with a BO problem, a bad fringe, acne and a Nike baseball cap.
Farman should rightly be buying the pizzas tonight by way of an apology.

“That performance was way above our average level.”
Which doesn’t say a lot for our average level.
Oh well, 10 games to go to get the point we need to get to 50. I can personally see us doing it. Happy days.
Should get 5 wins 2 draws and 3 losses out of those.
66 points, see us finish about 10th.
I see three wins.

Probably lose a couple and end up beating Carlisle or Exeter.
Draw MK. Lose Mansfield.
however if no 23 had done the sensible thing (score)we would not have been under any pressure.

Wait, we were more mobile in midfield playing only one of the slow bros? Surely not :p
Joel played well. Arthur had a good 1st half but poor 2nd. It was good to see McKee back to add some healthy competition.
Yeah thought Joel was good for the short spell I saw him. Iontton looked nervy second half (which was all I saw).
When he got caught in possession and Cuthbert had to bust a gut to rescue the situation it was good to see Cuthbert tell him not to worry and Guthrie giving him encouragement.
Thought McKee was coming for Iontton. Was surprised to play two inexperienced players in the middle
Iontton, Makasi and Guthrie all did reasonably well at points, which is more credit than I gave them for last week.
The back four looked good. Farman got deservedly slated at the end but when I saw the replay I felt a little bad for him. There were still a further couple of chances to deal with it after he blew it.
Yeah absolutely. Since his shocking performance at Tranmere, Gutherie has impressed me.
Cuthbert on the other hand is just Cuthbert, which is unreal every bloomin week. I think Cannavaro wishes he could've been as good as Scott Cuthbert.
Guthrie did the same with Gibson after he missed the sitter, which was really good to see, and was important.
We were expecting McKee for Iontton too. Joel had been on the floor getting treatment just before the change so perhaps that was the initial plan but Dino’s hand was forced.
Makasi might have been anonymous because he noticed that his shirt said 'Masaki' on it.
Hahaha did it really? Keith out!
Chair's yellow EFL sleeve badge came off too.
Poor game but we did not deserve to lose. Farman to blame.
Missed 2 sitters
Why did you get to see only half the game ?
I mean I haven't mentioned it much on Twitter but basically my trains were fucked. Arrived in Stevenage about 3.15 when should have been in at 1.
All trains between Peterborough and Stevenage had about 2 hour delays because of a broken down train.
