The Stevenage FC Podcast: Episode 4

By Boromatt26/7 07:49Fri Jul 26 07:49:42 2019

With only 8 days to go till Boro’s big kick off, have a listen to the fourth episode of the podcast. Discussions about the latest pre season results and fixtures, the Open Day training session, The League Two round up, the fans Q&A section and of course the new and exciting feature, “Harley and Farley’s Disagreement Corner!”

Enjoy!

Good listen. Your positivity is infectious but i feel you need a few more contrasting opinions.

The disagreement corner all seems a bit staged. In last week's episode the topic was "who should play left back". Harley fought Tyler Denton's corner but how much of Tyler Denton has he seen? Unless he's a frequent viewer of Leeds youth/reserve matches i'm going with not a lot.

How about a topic like is Arthur ready for the first team? Which player from our Conference winning season would you have back in the team?

A good question on this week's podcast was "Within our means what player would you love to sign". The answer given was Tom Soares. That's too vanilla! Before he came on trial with us i didn't read/hear a single comment from any of our fans saying "i'd fucking love us to sign Tom Soares".

Other than that good job.

That was my question, in terms of the answer I was looking for someone away from who's on trial at the club or the other alternatives like Chair who are unrealistic, Tom Soares would be a great addition don't get me wrong but I was hoping for a few different names and possibly a surprise or 2 in terms of people who might do a job who we and even Dino himself may not have thought of as obvious targets.

Good points made, we’ll take that on board. The new feature “Harley and Farley’s Disagreement Corner” is a section which we want to grow over the next month and make it a real debate panel on the podcast. The debates once the season starts next Saturday will start to get a lot better!

Did you ever read the argument he had with my Dad on here ? it came to the point where they were going to sort out differences face to face outside the ground after one home game.

It doesn't ring a bell. I was probably recording Innervisions at the time. Care to remind me what it was all about.

I think my dad challenged Matt's opnion which a few other people didn't agree with Matt's opnion and what I recall things were taken to heart too quick.
