Southend at home tomorrow (cup)

By SBFC4LIFE12/8 13:57Mon Aug 12 13:57:52 2019

Southend
Haven’t won a home first round tie since August 2010 vs Bristol city
Haven’t won an away first tie since August 2009 vs Cheltenham

Tomorrow will be a tough game against a team in a higher division, we normally play well against higher and bigger teams

Example Portsmouth away, Mk home, the comeback at Lincoln away, mansfield away and many more

Would people like to see us have a cup run or go out in the first round and focus on the league

How many people are going be on Dino side if we win tomorrow but then if we lose Saturday how many of them people are going to start again with the Dino out comments

It’s not even been the first month yet give the guy a chance. Plymouth last time they where in league 2 lost there opening 3 game and still went up so give him time

I keep reading this and still don’t understand

Did Southend beat Bristol City at home in 2010 or did Bristol City beat Cheltenham away in 2009?

Any news on the mysterious Jason Cowley who I note scored 90 goals in 102 matches for the mighty Bromsgrove in the past 3 seasons. Does anyone know what sort of injury he has, how long he's out for etc. Could do with a bit of a genuine goalscorer right about now!

Yep, I did wonder about the sense of bring in a prolific striker and then sticking him out wide. I was surprised to see him out there and not Taylor given Taylor's attributes.

TVC has been ever present at CB.

I dunno why he was middle of the three with Scott on the right hand side on Saturday, seems to make more sense to swap them, but I don't see any reason to drop him on the 2 games he's played so far.

I think it's clear to me that Fielding and Rollinson were bought for the future. Not sure throwing Fielding into a more difficult position will do anything for us or him. We've lost Ron, Hunt, Wilko an Martin. Lost Nuge and Denton. And signed Stokes........ Anyone can see its crying out for another defender. And they need to do it quickly. What will happen is Stokes gets injured....?

Taking your point Pat, it was a flat back 4 and Nuge plays to the left of Scott. Hence why he had to go that side. Scott ain't a left hander.
