Tonight we are recording the seventh episode of The Stevenage FC Podcast. With a disappointing start to League Two and some tough upcoming matches, send us over some questions for the panel to answer on the show!

Thanks!

When will we get our first point (or three).

I don't see us picking any up until Macclesfield on the 31st of August which would mean 6 straight losses to start the season :-(

How do we know Macclesfield aren't good this season? I used to think Accrington were favourites to go down each season then they got promoted.

I can't see us winning any games unless we create chances and shoot.

They lost 1-0 to Exeter so presumably they're about as good as us ;-).

As last night proved, we don't have to create chances to score, you can also score from capitalising on the other teams mistakes if you press well. I'd say more goals in league 2 come from defensive mistakes rather than from offensive creativity, but that's based on a vague impression based on watching for so long with no facts to back it up.

If you could go back and restart pre season, what would you change?

Do you think Dino is tactically astute enough to get us promoted?

And if you was to replace Dino right now, who would you employ? (David oldfield and Mark Sampson are exempt from being an answer)

Not that I’m being negative or anything...

To make it more interesting and to see what else is available. Personally , I’d be open minded to them to being joint managers/ but it’s an easy answer so wanted some thoughts.

Why don't we have any recognised wingers? We struggled last year playing central midfielders everywhere until Chair came in and gave us some width then we started winning games. Now we have signed a shit load of central midfielders and got absolutely no wingers.

Rollinson wasn't particularly impressive and Sonupe can't cross.

Have we made any progress since we 're-allocated' Sarllz?
What is the purpose of our midfield?
How quick will it be to pour a pint in the new North Stand bar?

The players are in a transition period at the moment. We can't expect them to involve the midfield just yet. Maybe if we haven't got past 10 points by Christmas we should think about changing things.

Why can't we hold on to our Physio? Is Dino too demanding? (yes IMO and he should back off and let one of the other coaches manage the treatment room and the physio /recovery programme).

Will Dino swallow his pride and bring Reid back into the fold even as a squad player? ((I doubt it but it takes two to tango).

Which new signings have you been dissapointed with so far, given its early days. (Soares and Stokes are not as dominant as I expected given their experience for me)

If we continue to play largely like we have been, albeit we'll I am sure get a few wins, and bimble around the bottom third without managing any back to back wins, how long should Dino get? (Xmas for me).

Do you think it might be anything to do with...

Not having a Physio for long enough to get to know the players' musculoskeletal weaknesses and strengths, let alone fix them?

The manager and fitness coach being gym bunny monsters who expect everyone to push their bodies as hard as they do?

Leon picking up lads who've been used to training twice a week and Dino/Ash putting them through SAS selection level fitness work 6 days a week to get them fit?

The management pushing a culture of machismo, where niggle little injuries are not disclosed for fear of being accused of being soft, thereby allowing small issues to become bigger.

*All of the above except the first point are pure speculation based on no inside knowledge or expertise whatsoever, (however now we have such a thin fit squad, players with niggles will undoubtedly be encouraged, or feel obliged, to train/play through it).
