Good point, lost our 2 best current defenders early on, the 2 young ones came on and played for the shirt, has to be a positive. Blimey how many players available for Tuesday?

Did he get injured during the Orient game then? I.e. a different injury to the cup game.

People I know were suggesting he should never have started because he clearly wasn't fit to play and it was all Dino's fault making him play.

He did not look right from the start, regardless of whether he got an additional injury during the game or not.

Big call to leave your captain out, but looked like he could have done without that game to us lot, in order to have more recovery time.

Not sure but that collision with TvC must have hurt, TvC got up but still went off.

Most players are injured to a point they reckon, hope it wasn't, can't see Dino forcing him to play.

In this day and age that is a penalty. Like the referee originally said.

And the two people I heard from over the away end said deffo penalty.

Not sure how anyone could say he got the ball. It was a challenge from behind with no touch on the ball.

Sounds like a different incident after watching it!

Are those two people people you can actually trust to have a measured view based on what they saw?

I ask because everybody stood over that side of the pitch who has commented on this thread, plus a good few I saw on Twitter, have said it was not a penalty. The only people I have seen say it was were over your side, plus a couple who would claim everything should be a penalty to us even if our player trips over his own feet with nobody near him.

As I said at the time and ever since, not a penalty, correct decision made. Guthrie drags his own foot on the floor and starts going down long before any contact is made. Tried to buy the penalty. Well done ref.

Stats show 33% possession and 53% pass accuracy. Both of which are absolutely abysmal...

Do those stats tell an accurate story?

Nine men behind the ball mostly camped just on the edge of our area and lumping the ball clear straight back to their keeper for great swathes of the second half so they would make sense.

Full credit for the defensive bodies on the line performance, and Fernandez, Watts and Farman were great, but if they had anything up top or Wilkinson knew how to head a ball that would have been embarrassing!

A point to get us going, but we were battered for 70+ minutes and bar a couple of chances we created absolutely nothing again. Not at all pretty in any way.

Injuries etc.

Good point, unexpected, happy to see how we fair against Bradford at home hopefully without losing two players in the first half.

If we played rubbish and still got a point that is a good sign. Plenty of shots this week according to the stats.

I said loss, draw, loss, so we are exactly where I expected with one point from three.

I went draw, loss, win the next three so we will see.

Annoying that Bratfud appear to have clicked into gear today.

Donaldson is past it, but Vaughan is still a quality player in L2. McCartan and Scannell are very decent options to bring on too, IMO.

But I do think Bratfud are being hugely overrated this season and are not as great as they are being tipped to be. Saturday was a decent result, albeit against an Oldham side that will really struggle and draws against Cambridge and Grimsby are nothing amazing. Nothing to fear, just hope we can create some more offensively.

Were we not camped on our own box and just lumping it clear for the majority of the second half?

Did they not get in almost unchallenged down our left SEVEN times first half alone, with Wilkinson having an uncontested header three or four times which he should have buried?

Second half we were at least challenging and blocking the shots rather than escaping because of miscued attempts by them. Fernandez, Farman and Watts were great today.

Don't get me wrong, delighted with the point to get off the mark and on the basis of my expectations/the way the game went, but the way we celebrated a point against a wholly average side (I watched them a lot last season, they are nothing special and will not be up there this year) shows just how far we have fallen.

I didn’t think so.

I think you’ve summed up the rest of it pretty accurately though. I was still relatively happy with the performance.

I was happy with the first half on Tuesday, today was a regression in attacking play for me, but a big improvement defensively.

Overall better to draw than lose so positive in that respect, but I worry because our attendances are plummeting like a stone and our performances are not going to see any non-diehards coming along.

If they're not coming along how will they know what our performances are like?

Unless they read reviews of supposedly how terrible our games are online.... in which case... maybe... :)

From what I've seen on twitter looks like a lot of fans had a brilliant day and have got themselves a new hero in young Luis. Bit of a buzz about the place.

They come along. They see it. They don't come back.

Fernandez looks like he will go very far on the first two showings. Most impressive for me, even above his great performances, is how vocal he is and how he gives out directions and instruction to players older and far more experienced than him. Looks like he has the potential to play at a high level and the attributes to be a top captain.

Yeah I never believe the over the top reaction that Chuds spreads. I normally factor it down to about 10% to get the right level.

The core of what he says is usually true but the way he makes it into a massive drama I ignore.

i.e. today, we fought hard to get a point when we were second best and fortunate they couldn't finish. Fair enough. Good result for us then. Happy.

You make it sound disastrous on one hand then reasonable on the other. I listen to the reasonable bit and ignore the drama.

We had a lot of shots. Kurtis a couple. Newts 3. Luther. Taylor a couple. All off target. Sadly. Quite a few corners.

Not a lot of quality of both sides. We will be fine.

We got in a lift with an injured Orient player and another young member of staff. We laughed. As I thought we had been playing Barca listening to them 2.

I added detail of what happened inbetween.

Not disastrous. Disappointing. Because I want us to be far better and far more entertaining/exciting. I want our crowds to grow. Watching us right now is going the opposite way (injuries etc., but people seem to have forgotten how dire the first half of last season was too, until Chair came along).

You'd be wrong. When I say add drama I dont mean the detail, I mean the manner in which it is presented. Making a big deal over certain small things but not mentioning other small things.

I watched the highlights and Newton almost won it at the end. No mention of that anywhere.

I’d argue with the 33% possession as it certainly didn’t feel like that.

For the second half performance alone, we deserved at least a point.
