So at what point does Phil say Sayonara

By Northstandbloke7/9 17:38Sat Sep 7 17:38:54 2019

There must come a point when Phil has to say 'cheerio old bean'. I wonder what the actual criteria is probably a belief that it's just not working or maybe no wins, three points after 7 games near bottom of the table and a final abject performance

I can't think of a previous instance when a manager who has taken his side to the precipice ultimately succeeding although there are I suppose some instances.

Maybe Phil will speculate that this sort of stuff ain't going to fill any new stand.

As I've said before, when the home gate drops below 2000 home fans. That is Phil's usual time to pull the plug. Carlisle win on Saturday with a poor crowd could do it.
Mind you Phil won't want to open the North stand with us Bottom. Good job Scumthorpe are crap.

Carlisle London bases fans (which is usually a fair few) will indeed take it over the 2000. If not then he really is in trouble!

From my understanding Phil gave Dino the job knowing that he would have to treat it as a building block and to take the rough with the smooth while Dino hopefully learns on the job , I doubt very much he will get rid of him after 7 games.

Not at all take today for example we had a back 3 of Watts, Al Abd who’s been at the club for 2 days and Cuthbert who was back in training for 3 days and probably declared himself fit largely so that 17 year old Fernandez didn’t have to play another game this week after the Tom Soares injury.
