Very poor statement from the club not even wishing him well for the future, surely the club should have had more class there especially after the part he’s played as a player and then assistant under GW.

Bit surprised by this but not too disappointed, thought Wallace would give him 10-12 games. Having said that better to do this early and give someone else time to shine.

Sampson for me, wouldn't be surprised to see Oldfield back.

I thought Oldfield left because he lives about 2 hours away and didn't want to relocate. It was only ever a short term thing. That said if he was offered manager maybe he'd take it and move. Not that I know if he is any good or not.

Right decision. He cares for the club, but unfortunately was saved by a certain individual last season and this season has got very unlucky with injuries. All the best for the future Dino! Was always really nice to myself and my fiancé.

Moving forward, a new chapter. I’d like Sampson to take over, if not, let’s get an experienced EFL manager. The right appointment. Not a conference manager because of the budget, someone who’s been there and done it all.

"Someone who's been there and done it all"? Exactly the kind of merry-go-round manager we don't want.
If they are any good they will have been upwardly mobile. If they are still looking for a job in League Two they haven't been good enough.
There is very little difference to managing in the Conference or League Two, as promoted clubs consistently show.
I would sooner take someone who has been genuinely successful at the level below.

Dino was successful in the leagues below, how has that turned out? Teddy, Dino and Sarll all inexperienced EFL managers and all have been let go. It’s time for an experienced manager in the top 4 divisions that will be at the club for more than 2 tenures.

Dino wasn't really successful in the lower leagues. He got very shit teams playing slightly less shit. And at Conference North/South, fitness alone has a far greater impact than it does in League Two.

Sorry, I should have been more clear... I simply mean he didn't actually win anything.

There's getting a shit team to be less shit, and then there's actually being successful. Success, at least in footballing terms, means winning trophies, since presumably that's what every team is trying to do. What Dino did with Nuneaton and Southport was an achievement, for sure, but doesn't constitute as success, at least not in my opinion.

Dino had modest success, but never came close to winning a promotion .

On the other hand, the Cowleys, Chris Wilder, GW, among others, have all gained promotion from the Conference and then succeeded beyond that. Conf to League 2 is a natural progression for a manager.

Is that a sort of brainwashing re-education?

This sacking followed FA investigations into allegations of racist behaviour and remarks by Sampson, brought by Eniola Aluko. The FA oversaw two investigations, the second of them an independent investigation by a barrister, Katharine Newton, which cleared Sampson. The FA reasserted, in their press release regarding his dismissal, that they continued to have confidence in those findings and his dismissal was unrelated to that issue saying, "In respect of investigations into specific allegations made by Eniola Aluko in 2016, The FA stands by the findings of the independent barrister Katharine Newton's investigation. Sampson has denied all of the accusations put to him and no evidence of wrong-doing was found."[8][9][10] Sampson subsequently brought an unfair dismissal case against the FA.

On 18 October 2017, the FA apologised to players Eniola Aluko and Drew Spence after Katharine Newton concluded, on a balance of probabilities, in a third investigation that Mark Sampson made comments that were "discriminatory on the grounds of race".[11] The FA agreed to pay a "significant " financial settlement to Sampson in January 2019, on the week his claim for unfair dismissal was due to be heard in court.[12]

Correct, at the third hearing they found something:

"The FA then apologised to Aluko and England team-mate Drew Spence for Sampson's racially discriminatory remarks after an independent barrister ruled he made unacceptable "ill-judged attempts at humour" on two occasions."

I'm sure he gave an interview about the whole incident when he arrived here. Something along the lines of he took time out to reflect on his mistakes and went on a course provided by the FA to make him a better coach in the future.

It's public knowledge what Sampson said. It was just a major misjudgement on his part but i don't think he's a racist.

Anyway, I was always under the impression he was fired by the FA for having a relatonship with a team mate back in his time as Bristol Academy manager.

It depends on what PW is thinking (I wondered if you knew something?).
If MS is to stay he might keep JS but if MS is only a short term fix then the new manager will probably want his own backroom staff. I expect JS to be around for the next couple of games, unless someone knows different.
