We're gonna piss this tinpot league now....
Suggested formation:
Farman,
-
Timlin, Parrett, Soares, Husin, List, Digby, Iontton, Carter, Byrom, Kennedy
-
If they all stand fingertip-to-fingertip across central midfield, I don't see how any opposition will get past IMVHO.

I thought it was a shame he was released, didn't know it was for personal reasons. Glad to see him back

Could be totally wrong but could the personal reasons be related to previous management set up.
Either way welcome back we need you.

Well, if he seems happy to sign now Dino gone, then could well be the management that was the problem. I’m happy enough with his return.

I imagine he may have found it difficult to play under Dino but welcome back Timlin. Hope he can add that attacking threat we need from the midfield and gives us creativity too. Question is who would you fellow Boro fans put in the middle with him ?
Soares
Carter
Noor

That's my fear. That pairing got slated almost every week last season. They cannot play together.
Timlin gave the ball away a lot last season in dangerous areas, his touch isn't fantastic.
Yes he's a workhorse, an experienced grafter who is happy to crunch into tackles, so the fans will always warm to that side of his game, but that is why Soares is here.
Clearly didn't fancy working for Dino, but no-one else came in for him with a decent offer.
Cover from the bench at best I think. May get a few games while Soares and Parrett recover and when Byrom is resting his niggles.

I agree a strange choice to spend our spare playing budget on.

At the minute don't we basically have Carter, Husin and some kids as our entire suite of options for centre mid? Not sure they're giving much credit to the idea of Byrom, Parrett and Digby putting that many minutes together among them this season. Too soon to say how robust Soares' fitness will be, assuming he's back soon.

What has happened to Lakin? We signed him on loan and he's vanished.
Has Rollinson played either? I'm sure he's a winger...

Larkin got injured after his first appearance and was going to be out for 2 months. Rollinson is rubbish.

Wasn’t general opinion that he wasn’t good enough in pre-season? In which case, why have we signed him?
In the history of the time I have supported this club I would love to know how many players we signed at first team age that basically never played. It’s infuriating.
If he’s so bad in training that he doesn’t warrant playing then eyes on management. If we took a gamble and he doesn’t cut it on games that’s one thing, but he doesn’t even get close to the team.

I'd go with he was not prepared to put up with Dino's "way".
My money on a scrap would be on Michael.
Hard as fucking nails.
