Before Boro’s big derby match at home against Cambridge, enjoy Myself and Reece discussing everything Boro! Remember to take part in the Mark Sampson and Alex Revell quiz!

Enjoy!

I got TWO correct answers.

Mark's first management job and what the pair have in common.

What do I win?

Enjoyed this one a bit more.

Wouldn’t mind hearing a bit more from Reece as he sounds like a student of the game. I want to learn something new for listening.

Please stop talking about 50 points being the target. It’s going to be significantly less this year as only one team is going down.

Right then.

The numbers are the points of the bottom-placed side after ten games (points they finished with), position they finished. Then the points the bottom-placed side at the end of the season had after ten games (points they finished on) and where they were in the table after ten games.

10/11 = 5 (53) 16th / 11 (41) 17th
11/12 = 4 (46) 21st / 11 (37) 18th
12/13 = 2 (51) 23rd / 8 (48) 21st
13/14 = 2 (57) 15th / 9 (45) 21st
14/15 = 6 (50) 20th / 9 (39) 20th
15/16 = 5 (43) 22nd / 9 (34) 19th
16/17 = 7 (48) 22nd / 11 (36) 17th
17/18 = 5 (47) 21st / 5 (38) 23rd
18/19 = 3 (44) 22nd / 15 (40) 13th

So the side bottom after ten games has had between 2-7pts, has only been relegated once, and has never finished bottom during our nine years in the FL.

I scored 2 points on the quiz. Just another 38 points to go to reach safety then, should only take about 19 more quizzes ;-p

It's another 38 points to attain parity with the clubs that have historically finished bottom. You'll need more than 38 to ensure safety. Perhaps.

50 points being the target has been one of my biggest wind-ups of the past 2 or 3 seasons, along with the old season of transition cliche. I’m therefore keeping my mouth shut.

W9, D4, L11, GF32, GA30.

Last beat them in Feb 2016. Since then we have lost five and drawn one, and haven't scored in our last five meetings.

We used loads of those episodes for revox splicing practice and editing when I was at college.

We also used to re-mix Sue Lawley’s infamous ‘f*ck me til I fart’ BBC recording on a revox too.
