He will be facing it on Saturday against Colchester.
If he doesn't win then I'm sure The Wallet will fire him.

In Ely we had the loudest ABBA tribute band in the world on the leisure park.

You could hear the drums from Nandos

In Sampson’s first interview in taking the hot seat, he said we need to do better in both boxes.

Would seem that the biggest issue seems to be between both boxes.

I don’t understand how we’ve ended up with a worse midfield than last season after we supposedly strengthened it.

I dont expect a result at Colchester. If he doesnt beat Grimsby that's when the pressure is on. They just beat Exeter so won't be easy.

He's picked up 1 point from 3 home games, none of which were against fantastic sides.

I agree Sev. These were my thoughts precisely.

I also have a theory that our first win will be home to Morecambe on 26th October. Put it this way, if we FAIL to beat Morecambe at home then we really are in the shit and only heading in one direction! So let’s believe we can at least win THAT one. 😳😊

Six home league games without a win (plus two home cup defeats). Our average isn't actually holding up too badly, at 2,780, albeit helped by yesterday's crowd.

This is the fifth time we have had such a run without a home win in the FL too so nothing new there (six games under GW, seven games under GW, seven games under Gary Smith, eight games under Sarll).

We haven't got any lower in the table recently which is encouraging. In fairness, we never get thrashed, there's no 0-6's going on, slight tweaking and we'll be flying up the league. Amazing how one lunchtime pint makes you feel.

‘We haven’t got any lower in the table...’

Well... er... I suppose that is literally true, but given where we are in the table I’m not sure that can be taken as a positive... 🤔

THE ONLY WAY IS UP
We've been broken down
To the lowest turn
Bein' on the bottom line
Sure ain't no fun
But if we should be evicted
Huh, from our homes
We'll just move somewhere else
And still carry on
Oh
(Hold on) hold on
(Hold on) hold on
Ooh, aah, baby
hold on
(Hold on) ooh ooh aah
The only way is up, baby
For you and me now
The only way is up, baby
For you and me now
Aah
Now we may not know, huh
Where our next meal is coming from
But with you by my side
I'll face what is to come
Aah, boy I want to thank you
Yeah, for loving me this way
Things may be a little hard now
But we'll find a brighter day
Oh, yeah
(Hold on) hold on
(Hold on) hold on
Ooh, ooh ooh
hold on
(Hold on) won't be long
Ooh, yeah
The only way is up, baby
For you and me now
The only…
