2-0. Shame that.

Oh well. We've had great FA cup runs in the last few years. Can't have it every year.
Now to concentrate getting off the bottom of the league, where we seem to be super glued to with a 50 ton weight and a giant anchor to hold us there.

Pretty content despite the defeat. Disappointed to have lost of course, especially as I feel we really had the chance to win both games, but happy with our second half performance tonight. Whilst we didn't create anything particularly clear cut, we attacked with intent, had sustained spells of pressure on them and had them worried.

CMS made a big difference after coming on, linked up the play really well. Cowley looked sharp and bright too. Got to start one of them on Saturday, it wasn't working with List and Carter.

Thought Farman let their opener go right through him but four good saves after that, one especially good to tip over. We looked fairly comfortable at the back again. Cuthbert went off with a knock but seemed okay at FT.

Sonupe, however. Why does he play? How did he get 90 minutes? He is not a footballer. He is abysmal. He clearly cannot read the game well and doesn't anticipate anything, he just reacts to things, and always reacts far too slowly. He just hangs a leg at stuff and doesn't bust a gut for anything. Get rid of him.

If we put in a showing like the second half today we will get something from Walsall.

"Pretty content despite the defeat"

Spot on assessment of the match.
MS seemed to be trying to tell Sonupe what to do through out the whole game last night. Clearly his confidence is shot but players have to think for themselves in match situations. Imo he needs to be taken out of the firing line asap and if the squad situation allows sent out to a conference side on loan for him to get his head sorted.

Pleased with the second half performance and thought the team spirt was good last night as was the effort (maybe some tried just too hard at times, rushing passes/shots/crosses).
Shame the ref was too whistle happy. Disjointed our play first half.

That's what hurts a bit. We had a couple of really good chances to score and take something from the game and squandered them.

We should pay to have Matty Godden on loan for half a season.
