Paul Doswell - Havant

Has always got his teams in play off / promotion positions year on year at Eastleigh, Sutton and again this year at his first attempt got Havant in a strong position.

I'll give you the others but with that squad Havant have got at that level they should be doing considerably better than they are.

Edit: And I believe one of the main reasons he left Sutton is because he doesn't want to manage full time (believe he has a job he doesn't want to give up) and wants to spend more time around his home. So not sure he would want to give all that stability up to take a chance with us.

4 points from second with 2 games in hand.

Sometimes if a better offer comes in people change their minds.

We would be a very attractive club to any non league manager.

We would be stupid not to enquire.

I fully support every manager that we appoint. We must get behind Revs..

Revs talks about players enjoying football but he still needs discipline else it will turn into teddy Sherringham mk2

I hope we can find some goals over the next few weeks so us supporters can start to enjoy football again.

The league table is all irrelevant anyway as Macclesfield will not be in the league next season. Let’s hope we learn from our mistakes .

In my opinion anyone not running their football club properly ie paying players and fraudulent financial records should be automatically relegated at least 1 division. This threat should hopefully clean the game of bad owners.

indeed they will go bust ..... BUT by the time actually go bust and are kicked out of the useless, toothless, dithering EFL ........it will be October .... thus no use to us and once again buggering up the league, FA cup, League cup & FL Trophy again! Oldham may join them, although the EFL may keep them going so as to bugger up the following season!

This pitching fans against each other hasn't been helpful all season.

"Revs talks about players enjoying football but he still needs discipline else it will turn into teddy Sherringham mk2"

I feel like a lot of people have taken this way out of context.

Why would you not want the players to be enjoying going to work? I know we're in a shitty spot, but surely them enjoying going to work might help them produce better football? If it feels like a slog/chore or they're waking up in the morning feeling like they don't want to go, then they're not going to be playing at their best, are they?

Out of interest, all the people who are complaining about the players enjoying their football - have you never worked at a job that you absolutely HATED? Did you feel motivated to go to work? Did you feel motivated to do well for the organisation? Did you feel that you did your best work?

I honestly can't get my head around why people are struggling so much with this concept. It's not like Revs is saying that everyone is going to be going to Bragbury to play games, do team building exercises and muck about all day.

Also, i'd have Jason Cowley back in a heartbeat. We missed another sitter on Saturday, this time it was Carter. I'd back Cowley to finish that instead of smash it over the bar from 12 yards. Along with the golden opportunity Lakin missed against Salford, MOMENTS.

It's not relying on him it's having the players in the squad to do the business. Either himself or Mackail-Smith need to be playing more often, they're both natural finishers.

That’s what should be happening.

Macclesfield have been to court countless times to be wound up by HMRC and others. I really don’t know why it is taking so long. It might not save our impending relegation but I doubt they will start league 2 next season just as Bury couldn’t this season.

If that’s going to be the situation then the league AGM in June should be decisive and conclude no relegation From the league for existing league members otherwise it’s just delaying the inevitable and will become another farce. Have the FA got the balls? Probably not.

Hopefully the courts will put an end to the situation before the season ends as they have no prospective buyer it’s all ********
Just delay after delay when will the courts say enough is enough?

Next court date March 25th
Be interesting to see what excuse they use to delay it again
Previous hearing was sceptical that they were going to sell shares to cover the debts owed

That will be a real kick in the teeth - if Macclesfield are booted from the FL at the start of next season, and they decide to, once again, relegate one team from League Two, instead of doing the inquiry now (like they should) and then just kick them out this season.

I know we don't deserve to stay up, but it will be frustrating if they do this ass backwards.

Also Mr Wallace needs to have a clear mandate as what he wants for our club on the pitch

This is the 4th change in style this season
We need to stick with one philosophy and that will define our club.

If we keep switching styles the players we have may not be suited to what the next manager wants. It’s a constant cycle of turnover of players and managers.

We should have been a developing club with a philosophy a bit like Crewe without the sex abuse.

We’ve got a nice ground for our level and fantastic training facilities. We just need in my opinion to play football on the floor and develop an exciting footballing team that scores goals. It really isn’t difficult.
If we develop correctly with the right manager and players we can be a good exciting team again.

may be an idea the manager we have got now is given time ( rest of the season ). to get on with his job
in keeping us in the football league. it is no good changing a manager every few months it effects the whole club.
remember it is only the players on the pitch for 90 minutes who get the points.

anyway i think Macclesfield will be finished as a club in the next few months.

Are you kidding me? You think a guy that's not really had a proper managerial job since he was fired by us back in 2015 is the answer to our problems? There's a reason why he has to scout the BSP for players looking for their lucky break... he has a bad reputation.

He bought in his own players last month, results went to shit. The draws and occasional wins under Sampson, byebye!

If i've bitten i don't care.

What’s hilarious is that if we had employed the reanimated corpses of Dennis Norden and Glenn Campbell at the start of the campaign we would have (at least) held the same league position at this stage of the season...

And we would still stink too. Although for different reasons I guess.

With the relegation, the budget, the way this season has been handled... I don’t see anybody of any note or suitability coming here. Right now I’d take a Tisdale or a Robinson, managers I wouldn’t have cared less about last season. And we’re highly unlikely to attract anyone like that! Vacuous, mediocre and clueless is the clear aim, so pick absolutely anyone who fits that description.
