The EFL have appealed, but they're not appealing. Amirite?

FWIW I think there's a bit of mileage to be travelled before we should pop the Cork on the champagne.

The commission will need some convincing to amend their punishment, didn't the EFL appeal the Bolton decision and lose?

Its the hope that kills you...

They’ll probably just knock off the points they are supposed to be getting deducted next season.

Good chance of staying up now. They wouldn’t appeal if it would fall on deaf ears.

I don’t think they’ll win. Apparently they’ve appealed and lost before.

My thoughts too. They wouldn't go through this unless they thought there was a solid chance of being successful I'd imagine. If they get a heavier deduction, can Macclesfield then appeal the appeal?

As with planning permission etc, there would have been an unofficial consultation ahead of a formal appeal.

If the majority of clubs and the EFL board are backing further action, it would be very hard for the independent disciplinary commission to overlook that.

I would imagine there could be a counter appeal from Macclesfield, but they are swimming against the tide now.

No secret that the EFL are in the pocket of Big Frozen & Chilled Food. Phil has his finger in many frozen and chilled pies. Why do you think it was a fridge, specifically, that our PM was hiding in during an election campaign. I've said too much.

I do feel for their fans, must be a pretty horrible situation with an owner like that & the fans themselves donation 10k to cover the May wages to avoid this happening. But the way the club has been run lately is far beyond a joke, after what happened with Bury you can tell the EFL are desperate to be rid of them and not have to deal with it next season.

They way I read it is the main thingEFL are peeved with is the "misappropiation" of the loan.
Just some basics anyone know who hears the appeal and any known timescale ?
