Well I'm glad for us, of course, but nobody should be relegated from an unfinished season. It's a travesty for sport.

Delighted hearing this. Karma for 96.

That said I do feel for the Macclesfield fans. It isn’t their fault the situation their club is in.

If we’d have gone down there was the silver lining of different away days and the trophy as a fan of course but with the current situation there would have been no guarantees we’d have been able to attend for quite some time. I’m much happier knowing we’ll be a league club of course and we can make a real fist of it this season I hope.

Onwards and upwards.

I too feel for the Macc fans.

Except for the salty ones on social media who insist it was a stitch up engineered by Phil and the wider illuminati, they can get to fuck.

There will always be a few salty fans, just the same as some of ours would have seen it as a personal affront from Macclesfield if we’d gone down and they’d stayed up no doubt, despite how bad we’d been on the pitch.

Great news for the club. I thought neither club should have been relegated and lose their league status without the chance to save themselves. The original request by the L2 sides for no relegation for league to non league was correct, no one should lose league status on PPG.

I do feel genuinely sorry for The Macc fans, but not their club, as they have bent the rules for too long. Their punishment was clearly flawed first time round and correctly amended now.

We are very lucky to be staying up, after clearly deserving to go down, purely on performances. I think we all had accepted National league next season.

But I will gladly take it.

Aye, I was so resigned that I forgot today was the day (especially since the suggestion it might be delayed). So I'm going mental.

Shitty for Macc fans and I still don't believe we'd have stayed up under our own power, but think we had some good footballing karma stored up.

How did you rate them all ?

I saw prosser play for Colchester, I thought he looked very good.

Vincelot - Cant remember much about him

Marsh - remember he played against us for Macclesfield in league 2 in the 2017/18 season but didn't really offer much that day for the former league 2 side.

Seen him play twice for Borehamwood last season and again didn't offer much despite did a lot of running, but as unsaid in my post about him last week, cant pass judgement after 2 games, but as we all know he scored quite a lot of goals at Borehamwood last season,so let's hope he can bring that goalscoring form to Boro this season.

Coker - Remember he played against us for Southend and was impressed by his performance that game, but after injurys lets hope it wont hold him back in being a good player still during his loan spell at Boro.

All the other new signings I not seen play before.

I haven’t seen any of them except maybe Vincelot but if he has been playing he didn’t exactly stand out for me. I know none of the other signings and will put my neck on the line and piss on the parade by saying that I’m not confident next year will be any better. Hope for the best of course, but I’m not feeling inspired so far.

Edit: written before seeing Prosser had signed. But doesn’t change my overall impression of how the season will go.

As a player Vincelot is a massive piece of shit.

I expect to be utterly rustled by his antics and to call him a prick. Whether this is through a TV screen or in person remains to be seen.

Vincelot was very good. After a hip resurfacing and some inactivity the jury is still out. But if we get the player I’ve seen against us in the past we have a decent signing there.

think i may have another pie with me san-migel.

i said from day one we would stay up,
it is only the EFL who hoped the courts would do their job for them.
i do feel sorry for there supporters and staff at Macclesfield f.c its not there fault
but after going to Macclesfield and talking to there supporters about the dis-like in there owner
he has stitched up there club to many times in the past.
Macclesfield still have a court appearance in september that could be the final nail in the coffin.
