We need to find a goal scorer that Peterborough will buy and then sell on for 20 million

That is actually true. He is a fantastic player 110% commitment, bit of pace, scores goals . Trouble is goes awol with injuries during a season. Need a few seasons of long term injury free under his belt before going higher. Otherwise a bit of a gamble.
End up staying here.

I was speaking to someone close to him and someone in the know . Newts had an injury when playing for Dino that was not quite sorted. He played games when probably shouldn’t have He had injections to play through the pain barrier because he was needed but this made the injury worse hence why he missed a lot of last season as he needed the op. He worked hard to get back as soon as he could and actually was fit and ready to play his first game the week football was called off for COVID 19. He has trained all summer and fighting fit with no reaction . I assume he will be weighing up his options-but whoever gets him, will get a striker fully fit, aggressive, quick and knows where the net is.. And as he has always done- 100% committed to the cause...

This is not a joke, the situation is not being treated with the gravity it deserves.

Trouble is with Newts, for every goal he scores the opposition equalise.

He’s just keeping his feet firmly on the ground and weighing up his options. Will give his decision more gravitas.

Tbh so injury prone that I doubt anyone else would take the gamble one on 10 games out ..

Don’t think he’s in the position to hum and ahh about if he wants the stay or not ....

We need a fit player not someone sat in the physios room all fecking season

I hope and expect that he would have competition for a starting place this season. I would still like a fit Newts in the squad, but if he isn't prepared to commit, then that's fine by me. I feel whoever signs him will be taking a large punt on him being fit enough to contribute much.

I think Revs did say in a recent interview about Newton that “he’s always making Isaac me”

So he must be interested. In re-signing.

I personally would rather see the averagely talented D Newton in a Boro side in the National League. Injury free he’d probably score 10 goals.
