PPG again then

By FootyIQ (HT-FT)26/9 08:18Sat Sep 26 08:18:42 2020

Looks like we are headed for a total mismatch in number of games played with some teams likely to have 6 to 10 games cancelled. How they going to fit these into a condensed schedule.

Add the fact we will probably go into another lock down you can see PPG coming into play again,

This gives a possibility of a team in 14th getting promoted or put into the playoffs

Let’s just play the games we can win and let the league promote and relegate for integrity

Given how early it is in the season, they'd probably just postpone it for as long as possible, before eventually abandoning it.

PPG works if all teams are within one or two games and it's late in the season. Totally inappropriate to apply it after a handful of games, especially if there's a huge disparity in games played.

Although it would be fun to stop now and see Southend and Grimsby scrap it out in the courts

Yeah I think PPG will only come in after teams have played minimum 25-30 games. Any less the league should be canned, but we need to let integrity take its course

The thing with this season is that you'd hope, after last season, they had the foresight to set out exactly what system will be used in particular scenarios that every club has pre-agreed to, so there can be no arguments.
