Deserved victory for Bradford.

We were 2nd best almost all game.

Very poor from the fullbacks today especially Hutton. Hutton was piss poor and I’m worried he will be playing a lot as we signed a cripple as our starting LB

Would have liked to have seen Vincelot come on early and shore up an inexperienced midfield away from home. I can only assume he isn’t fit.

Still much better than last year and Guthrie is still shit lol.

Yeah, that was pretty poor. The period before their goal was particularly bad, with us constantly giving the ball away.

Lessons to be learned, draw a line under it and move on.

Hopefully this game will really hammer home two key points:

1. We can't expect to have the majority of possession in all, or even most, games.
2. You can't play 4-3-3 and retain 36% possession. That's not how that formation works. It relies on having the majority of possession.

We have to learn to be more dynamic and switch formation when we are struggling for possession. We have some flex players so there's no reason why we can't.

This is the big deficiency for me in the squad, do we have the midfield bodies to chuck on and shore things up by going 4-4-2?

I suppose a forward could've come off for Marshall instead of Read, but do the forwards only know how to play in a three?

Maybe I'm being a little mischievous and unfair. I didn't think he won anywhere near enough against Southampton and Marcus won more than you'd expect. Newts always battles in the air.

For a man of his size I want at least 50% won.

Inih definitely needs to improve in the air from what we've seen, but I stillimagine he's better than List and Newts in the air for sure. Dinanga it remains to be seen.

I'm not convinced the wide forwards are supposed to be defending in our new setup.

That frightens me, but if they do their job attacking wise, the results should balance out the few times in the season a side are as good as Crewe last season and can clown us.

I think the midfielders are meant to drop back to help out.

But yeah the philosophy seems to be score more than them rather than concede fewer.

So I think we should be more understanding of the full backs who are sacrificed and generally doing a good job considering.
