Deputy Political Editor of The Times tweeted:
"Sounds like sport is back from Dec 2:
Tier 1
4,000 spectators/ 50% capacity for outdoor events, whichever is lower, and 2,000/ 50% capacity for indoor
Tier 2
2,000 spectators/50% capacity outdoors, whichever is lower, and 1,000/ 50% indoors
Tier 3
Ban on spectators remains"
No idea what tier Stevenage is likely to be or whether a covered stand will be classified as indoors, and very much doubt we would be able to immediately have 2k fans in anyway, but a chance our STH may be back in for Southend? Failing that, for Exeter.

Also if we are placed in to tier 2 doubt they will even open the bar as you have to a "substantial meal".
So we cannot even drown our sorrows.

Genuinely wasn't expecting to see a game live before March/April if at all.
Brilliant news. Even if we're not very good it'll be good to catch up with people and have a bit of an afternoon out.
Never know, may even get the odd away game once clubs have settled into a rhythm and have confidence in the process.

Wasn't there a ground rule that it was only from the same household you could be with?
Catch up? Not sure that should be allowed.

I can shout and wave. And moan the hind legs off of whoever is unfortunate enough to be in the square adjacent to mine.

I’d rather drink a pint of my own bile than pay money to watch this spineless squad hoof a ball around

The football will continue to be direct when Cowley takes over. Won’t be pretty

Word has it that Cowley has been promised big bucks to bring in some flair players. Apparently we’ve already made tentative enquiries to sign Adam Armstrong from Blackburn

I would expect that on the current numbers Stevenage would fall in Tier 2, but that could change, obviously.

I don't think for the first few games we would try to allow anything more than our STH in anyway, and the distancing measures will have to remain, so provided you dirty Stevenage buggers keep infections down it will just be around 1000 STH in there I suspect.
Maybe for the Cambridge game, or the start of next year, we may sell single game seats in the "away end" to our fans as well.

How many STH do we have?

Around 1000 for the exact reason of there being limitations on numbers attending for the test events and not wanting to have to decide which STH can and cannot attend.

We should prioritise non-season ticket holders, maximise revenue into the club.
Season ticket holders already have their free access to Ifollow. I'm sure they would support this move to help the club out. Especially those from different Local Authority areas who might be in a different tier

No ta, bad enough paying £10 each week to watch what's being served up, certainly not paying £20 to be in the wet/cold watching it.
I'd still watch on iFollow if they allow it tho.

I'm sure Ifollow will remain for now.
Its the season ticket holders I feel sorry for, losing their free match pass & feeling obliged to go to the Lamex.
