Wallace's Programme Notes

They're back.
He says he hopes the fans don't fall foul of the Covid rules on shouting and singing?
Whilst I think getting any real atmosphere going will be impossible with everyone so spaced out, what ARE the rules on singing and shouting?
There's nothing in the EFL code of conduct other than be sensible when celebrating a goal.

People are less than 2m separated , can clearly see only two seats between bubbles and people sat behind each other too close ....

It’s 2m unless you’re side by side or back to back. Or if there’s screens between you.

The government rules are easy to follow:
Are people happy
> Yes > Stop them being happy
> No > Are people depressed
...> Yes > Leave them alone
...> No > Take some autonomy away

I don't know if this is still the case but certain meds were made available without prescription at the start which would have actually enabled enhanced levels of happiness.

Are people happy?
> Yes > Stop them being happy *so we can make money from our sponsors donors by boosting their happy pill sales*
> No > Are people depressed?
...> Yes > *Feed them happy pills so we can make money from our sponsors donors by boosting their sales*
...> No > Keep giving them freedom and taking it away so they become depressed, and then feed them happy pills so we can make money from our sponsors donors by boosting their sales.

He’s worried the atmosphere might be too good at bhw? He’s forgotten what it’s like to have home fans there.

As I’ve said repeatedly, Rob, even with the stadium fully open and fans being begged to come to the game, the ET has always been socially distanced. Often by a lot more than 2m!
