Us, Barrow and Scunthorpe all locked on one point per game (although that game apparently cannot be stopped), 0-0 between Grimsby and Southend the perfect result.

I’m fairly relaxed. Tranmere are mid table and we are comfortably better than them

Clearly not better than them as we just drew with them at home

Tbf, I laughed. I do agree with you that we look better now than we did a month ago and will pick up points if we carry on this way.

How Marsh is playing ahead of Pett/Aitchison is a worry.

It's a complete mystery. I don't get how Marsh or List are in our best 11.

Very average.
Aitchison, Pett and Newton on the bench I’m positive we can get a result

Is it just me that is really unimpressed by this ref?

I didn't actually think he was that bad. Had much worse.

Let the game flow, could have got the yellow out once when he didn't.
Failed to give us the late penalty but everyone else thinks it was soft so maybe I'm wrong.
I'd be happy for him to ref us again, above average for L2, I didn't shout at him once.

I thought we were generally quite good today. On another day we could have nicked a win.
Not a penalty for me, Clive.
We'll pick up points with performances like the last few weeks, so long as we don't revert to the shite before that.

He let Tranmere off with a lot of bookable offences.

Re: Match thread

Not really much to say about that.
-Tranmere very physical and quick on the first touch.
-We've done well passing out from the back, even when under pressure.
-We've been sitting quite deep, but our counter attacking has been pretty good.
-List has been quiet, but hasn't been given an awful lot to work with.
-Marsh hasn't been great, but hasn't been awful. I'd rather Aitchison or Pett playing, but I suspect Marsh has been picked for his speed since we seem to be playing on the break.
-Game seems there for the taking. Neither team dominating.

It's not a great game and teams are pretty even, but at least there is more evidence of some kind of game plan. A clear improvement on what we were seeing, but can't help feeling we need at least a point with our run of games coming up.

Brilliant point. How have you coped for the last 46 years or whatever since we last regularly did that? Or have you hoarded that nice bag of Moroccan hash we all needed over the last year??

Normally yes, but with lack of crowd reducing any home advantage not sure it makes much difference, plus longest 2 trips out of the way.

Haha. Agreed. There was one earlier on of a pretty slow build up, but the replay was in slowmo. And it all culminated with a shot into row z nowhere near the goal. Painful.

There was a replay that culminated in an attacking throw for us and missed the actual throw and it cut to a header at the keeper.

This is not vintage but we've not played any worse than a mediocre side and there's options off the bench.
Imo Read and Lines looks our best midfield since the days we could call on whoever was fit from King, Lee, Schumacher and Tonge.

Left side is poor.
Norris looks like he needs a goal.
My heart is in my mouth everytime Cuthbert is near the ball.
Lines looks promising again but missing Aitchison's creativity and Pett and Smith in midfield.

Not a fan of this setup, Carter on the right and Marsh on the left with List playing through the middle.
Would prefer Pett and Aitchison with Carter in the middle
