Grimsby/Southend

Spent a bit of time this morning on Grimsby and Southend's fans forums. Remind me a bit of ours last year. Despondent fans like us who follow unfashionable teams.

The huge difference is leadership at the three clubs. Both Grimsby and Southend fans are stuck in old stadiums that are falling apart. They owe HMRC a lot of tax. Their quick return if relegated is unlikely as the National league has some strong contenders.

I know some on here will be pleased they are in trouble (their own fault) but we came from Non League and managed to stay a league club, but I have a small regard for us supporters of so called "diddy team" and not jump on the Premier league bandwagon.

Southend is a decent awayday, be happy for them to stay up.

Grimsby can get to fuck. Just because it's at the seaside, it's still a shithole with more than its fair share of arsehole fans whose sense of entitlement is on par with Notts County numpties.

And Grimsby were non-league not long ago.

Grimsby is one of the games I can get a direct train to so I'd sooner Barrow took their place and remove any temptation to tick if off, plus they let us win sometimes.

Have a Southend friend, ST holder, says this has been years in making for years. He is resigned to the drop .He has no problems with Moseley asnd says could have had Klopp in charge and still be where they are. They get big crowds ,over 7000ish still before lockdown. But you only have to look at the Notts C,,Wrexham & Chesterfields of this world that there is guarantee a "big" club will walk the league.
