By Owen B5/4 14:37Mon Apr 5 14:37:02 2021

The team news for today's Easter Monday Sky Bet League Two clash with Bradford City AFC can now be revealed...

Alex Revell makes just the one change from Friday's 1-0 win at Oldham Athletic, with Joe Martin replacing Elliot Osborne. Terence Vancooten is reintroduced to the squad after returning from international duty with Guyana, while Scott Cuthbert and Luke Prosser maintain their centre back partnership.

Starting XI: Cumming, James-Wildin, Coker, Cuthbert, Prosser, List, Read, Pett, Martin, Norris, Lines.

Subs: Johnson, Vincelot, Osborne, Hutton, Vancooten, Aitchison, Stevens.

First game in a while where I didn't feel we were the better team, probably lucky to get the point in the end but still unbeaten.

Crap camerawork today. Pett's passing was often negative or bad today, first sign he's human since he came back into the side. Scotty probably MOTM?

Not his best but good enough
Scotty MOM not for me
Done OK, but again for the 2nd time in a row a player got across him to score

Re. Cuthbert am I right in thinking when he plays with Prosser he is the RCB and when he plays with Vancooten he is LCB?

I wonder if he has a preference and of he is better at one more than the other?

He's played more at RCB for us and IIRC was RCB for Luton when I've seen him play.

Don't think it affects his game either side, players with a run on him will always beat him for pace and get across him if he can't use his strength to hold them off, which relies on him being level or ahead of them.

I wonder though if he gets a say in his defensive partner, and if so who he prefers.

I feel like Pett was trying to force the ball through to List all the time, even when it wasn't on.

Poor second half after dominating the first. A draw was probably fair.

I think generally the decision making was lacking on quite a few occasions today. May well be fatigue setting in. A few weeks ago, we would have been very happy with that point.

I'd consider Aitchison or Hutton on for Lines or Pett. Push Osborne inside. And also TVC on for Read and put Coker back at left wing.

Well I assume he wanted to bring Osborne on, but didn't want to take off a midfielder. Bringing TVC on would have required two subs, one to bring on Osborne, one to bring on TVC.

The one time we dont pass the ball out of the back fast enough and Steve claims it's proof that we shouldn't pass out from the back.

I tweeted him to ask him what he thinks the better option is, because we were hoofing it long every game at the start of the season and getting nowhere with it.

I'd rather play a system that occasionally doesn't work than a style that only occasionally does. The majority of the time the ball goes long, it just comes straight back, barring the few times we win a header or win the second ball.

I quite like that we try and play it out from the back. Sure, they may be the odd occasion where it leads to conceding a goal, but hopefully leads to more positives than negatives.

That's exactly my view on it. It works more than it doesn't. Vs long ball which doesn't work anywhere near as much as it does.

In theory it's 50/50 long balls vs retaining possession, even if it's in your own half.

I don’t see what it adds to football, unlike other sports where it’s generally interesting and adds to the experience.

He's much better at left midfield than left back. He's also been much better recently, which may be down to the fact that we don't spend the entire game defending/out of possession. I don't mind him being in the side at the moment.

I dont love Read playing right mid. Not saying that goal was necessarily his (or anyone else's) fault, but he doesn't track like a proper winger would. He comes inside but doesn't track outside. And that guy had about 3/4 of an hour to get that cross in.
