This concert / club nite thing

By Balders (BALDOCKBORO)14/5 13:18Fri May 14 13:18:26 2021

Surprised it hasn't been advertised much more aggressively?

Unless of course

A. it sold out quite quickly and therefore doesn't need advertising.

B. It's been pushed on media that us old gits don't look at.

Genuinely hope it's decent weather, everyone has a good time and it makes a ton of cash for the club.

Friend of mine due to go this Fri sent me following .Anyone heard anything. ?

The music event I was due to attend on Friday has been cancelled. I asked my friend why and he said the statement was something to do with restrictions and wanting to put the best first event on following a pandemic. So basically they didn’t sell enough tickets in my view.

Looks like stevenage want to distance themselves from it. Can't blame them. They just hired out their facilities

Got tickets for a couple of the events but agree the club haven’t seemed to push it much beyond the initial announcement. The organisers Nu Future haven’t got a huge social media presence either (just shy of 4K followers on Instagram, 142 on Twitter). Some of the names performing are big in their respective genres too so I’m surprised more hasn’t been made of it. Jamie Jones in particular is one of the biggest House DJs around at the moment.

Ah, that was Richey Edwards of the Manic Street Preachers. His car was found near the bridge but no body ever found. I went to see the Manics a while after and they still had a mic stand there for him up on stage.

It was Pete Ham from Badfinger who hung himself, sadly.

Not sure about the launch, I don't really get to see any of the PR for launching beyond their Twitter account and a fan account. I've listened to the new song a ton today, it's very catchy and the lyrics are amazing.
Looking forward to the new album and it's been a few years since they came over this way so hopefully we'll get a visit in the next year or so.
