Watford game

Beyond the injury absences, any further insight into Tuesday's performance would be appreciated.

Skybet are offering 15/8 against a top half finish, and I keep failing to resist temptation. Anybody seen better odds?

Not a clue on the match as I refuse to pay £20 for a home friendly, but BetFred also offering the same odds, which I took last night as SkyBet have heavily restricted me on every single one of their offerings (including Casino and Poker, despite me having never used them), the tossers. Not seen anybody go bigger.

Those are good odds for a top half finish.

Shame I don't bet as I'm actually tempted.

Don't see us scoring enough to get automatics but with a solid defence top 7 is very achievable with a bit of luck and a tail wind.

It is undeniably massive value.

Almost 2/1 to just be better than half of League 2. When we were sixth best in L2 over the last 30 matches. And we have kept all of our defence bar the keeper, but Anang could easily be as good, have strengthened our CM options and strengthened our striking options. The only thing we are weaker on is losing Pett. That is it.

And yet despite all of that the bookies have us around third or fourth favourites to be relegated. Not having that at all. I am not getting swept up in the promotion talk unless we learn how to score regularly, but I will be very disappointed indeed if we don't finish top half and have put my money where my big ol' mouth is.

Not normally a betting man but I could not avoid temptation for the reason Chuds states. I've also had a fun flutter on promotion.

Feeling the most enthusiastic at the start of the season for years.

I had £2 each way on us to win the league. The odds of 50/1 mean that I'm going to lose £4.
