Here we are again

It’s been a while since I last posted…but here we are again at the wrong end of the table, again.

The next set of games will be very telling.
Will Revs get sacked tomorrow, No
Sacked next week, No
In a month, maybe

Next 5 home games
Leyton Orient
Mansfield 21st
Colchester 19th
Scunthorpe 24th
Carlisle 23rd

Home form hasn’t been to bad other than the demolition by FGR, we have given a decent account of ourselves and unlucky not to have more points from Swindon and Port Vale who are both on the playoffs.

We really should be looking to achieve 10 points minimum taking into account we will probably lose to the Os.

Anything less, say 5 points then I think Revs and the coaching team should go.

The next 5 away are looking grim
Newport
Rochdale
Tranmere
Salford
Swindon

The way we are playing I see 0 goals and we will be lucky for 1 point unless we return to last season’s back to the walls performances. I don’t see it happening.

And here we are again
23rd best defensive
21st best attack
Stats don’t lie… whatever is being coached doesn’t create goals.

So much for the promises of never being in the same situation again and somehow getting extraordinary sponsorship deals to push us on and dream of a decent season…

Hey ho

I'm thrilled that he may stay on if we happen to beat some really shit teams. Woo. Feel the ambition.

I don’t think anyone is thrilled.
If you ask me between them they have had plenty of time to get things right.
Something obviously clicked 2nd half of last season. I’m not sure why they would change things up this season and put their jobs in jeopardy.

I honestly think if we had got relegated Revs is not the man to win back a league place.

My fear is that we pick up 2 or 3 wins from those 5 or 6 rubbish teams we'll be back having the same conversation in 2 months after losing to mid table teams at home.

There was a time when Sarll was manager that I wanted us to lose so that Phil would pull the trigger and I wouldn’t have to put up with watching any more negative tactics or interminable post match interviews. I hadn’t realised that these things went with the job.

Sarll was manager when I first moved to Stevenage from up north and started following the club. I never expected that those years would begin to feel like the glory years! Christ!

Those home games will determine if the management/coaching staff stay. Need to win those with the away fixtures coming up.

No pressure....
