Yes.
Not playing MacGillivray and Burns made is look infinitely better at the back. If Butler doesn't give his man half of the pitch to control the ball and run at us in the 89th minute then we get a wholly deserved clean sheet away at a very strong side in front of the sixth largest attendance we have EVER played in front of, in all competitions.

Completely disagree, think it's been a season of stop start with amongst other things injuries .Decent player there with a physical presence in right formation etc.

I think there?s are argument for both viewpoints. He hasn?t overly impressed when he?s played?.but he?s not played that regularly either in order to gain consistency (aside the first few games).

Just back via mutual and mulberry
Totally agree whenever we are on a wide pitch all they need to do is swing it out to the touchline and they are in acres of space.
Remember Norwich away in the league cup a few years ago. They brought on a couple of players that hugged the touchline and tore us apart.
Not a bad ground, a few off there yoof would have been clattered by my mates team when they went they. Hi Blues nose Pete.
Need a big 6 points for the next two games.
Could be worse and be Carlisle with there massive support that earns them so many points with there attendances. Shame as it is a good weekend away.

people always moan about Butler, but most people will realize he never has cover in front of him in midfield
At Wilding has Freeman who covers for him
I imagine the 3 midfielders, one to cover right (Freeman), one central to cover the centre backs and one to cover left, which should be Roberts, but he always drops in or right, so leaving a hole

People used to have the same complaints about Wildin a couple of seasons ago when he had absolutely no cover.

Key tactical thing I see is that Pidge (rightly) seems *a lot* more comfortable stepping into midfield to win the ball when he's got TVC's *pace* to provide the cover. Pidge's front-foot aggression is central to why other teams hate playing against us! (Wycombe away a great example.) For this reason I reckon today's defence is our best, most balanced 'four'.
Oh, and Louis should start whenever he's fit: positional nous and decision-making.

It is actually seventh (I missed the FAT final against York when posting from the car - that was 47 more than today). Second largest league attendance.
Trophy final vs Kiddy = 53,262.
Newcastle FA Cup = 36,705.
Spurs FA Cup = 35,757.
Villa FA Cup = 32,343.
Sheff Utd (normal league game in first season) = 30,043.
FA Trophy final vs York = 27,102.
Today = 27,055.

Thank you for being young and TECH SAVVY.
Of those above, I missed the Newcastle game. At all the others, not that it?s much to speak of. The Newcastle gsme we had 1800 IIRC, and I was a poor student. I also got the shit kicked out of me after the home game by the lovely corinthian geordies, so was a bit sore (that will raise a cheer amongst some. I was heinously walking back towards town, wrong place wrong time, and I was never a very quick runner).

Yeah, the playoff was about 9k less, and the other two at Bramall Lane the following seasons were 'only' 17k.

Yes, my main take from today was L. Thompson and JFC must start together whenever both are fit.
Nothing against Burns individually but our best XI doesn't have him in it.

We should be winning this, Derby can count themselves lucky that it's still 0-0.
The second half will be hard though, as I imagine Derby may come out a different team. Games like this, I would be happy with a scrappy 1-0 win.

Neither team has really done anything to warrant a goal. We probably had the best chance just before half time off the line and keeper save, so could be 1 up but fairly even.
Be happy to keep them quiet but they're now attacking towards their vocal fans which can put pressure on officials to give decisions in the box.
Ideally we get a goal ahead and restrict them to half chances. Not really troubled us at the back bar a few slips/unforced errors from us.
