I think Neil Lennon may be the only football manager to have ever faced this level of conspiracy.

Steve has been around the block enough times to know that you ain't beating the system.
So why does he continue to rail against it and antagonise the network of officials?
This latest ban will take his total to 7 matches where he's been unable to engage directly with his coaches and players.
We've so far won none of those matches (thanks Chuds for checking).
The refereeing mistakes have not lessened. His reactions, and those of his staff, as it's often Raynor, are having a negative effect.
So just maybe he needs to take a Ritolin or some Diazepam at about 2:45pm on a Saturday and suck it up. And pop one in his assistants pre-match cuppa too.

Huge fan of BIG STEVE and everything he's done to this club since arriving. My only criticism would be his constant blaming of match officials. Nothing good comes from it, it's boring and sour grapes. Just move on from it

I think this needed saying. Clearly Steve isn't thick so you would imagine he has considered the impact his reactions have on officials. I don't buy into the conspiracy theory; we may have had more swings than roundabouts this season but on Saturday we were awarded a dubious penalty and enjoyed a referee happy to carry on playing until we equalised. However I suspect that when it comes to the benefit of the doubt most referees are more than happy not to give it to an SE team. Human nature.

I made the same point this evening on our group, saying that PW must be pissed off about it.
Regardless of decisions going against us (and we have had a number, some blatant and some less so for on-field officials), we have also had some go in our favour, and as a manager who has spent so long in the game he needs to rise above it, be professional and lead by example.
To have your manager missing for seven matches (having been booked nine times from the dugout) in one season is madness. I know a lot of the work is done during training, but you still need your manager on the sideline to make changes and to lead the squad.

Steve Evans has actually mellowed but his reputation goes before him. At the start of matches he sits himself comfortably, huddled up on the end of the bench and looks settled in for the game. Its almost as if he takes the rights and wrongs of the match in his stride to begin with then after biting his lip numerous times, erupts. Thats it then, he can't stop himself. Its easy for anyone to say that he should stay calm but he can't. I bet he wishes himself that he could curb his temper. He is a very intelligent man so knows the implications of his actions. I don't suppose its doing his health many favours either. He has a big challenge here to overcome his touchline behaviour and he knows it.

Bloke?s long enough in the tooth to know it isn?t worthwhile blowing his top because it makes no positive difference the majority of the time. It only serves to shoot himself and the team in the foot.

The best shithousery involves never losing your own cool. As I stated before we need to be absolute experts at this on Friday and Monday.
In fact, being a bit of a cnt and then losing it and crying is the weakest most J.Barton thing imaginable.

Do we know why he gets booked?
Ordinarily it is Raynor in the technical area and Steve on the bench then when the ref makes a shit decision, Steve jumps up and enters the technical area to point and complain.
This season there is an automatic yellow card if there is ever more than one coach in the technical area, so wondering if that's why he keeps getting booked?
Aggression towards an official is an automatic red card so it's not that.

Should measure out a rope and tie it to BIG STEVE, so it is just short enough to prevent him from reaching the technical area.

...or even worse...its heart attack material. He needs to curb it for his health, if for no other reason.

He knows his weight issues. He said on intetview once that he has tried many different diets.
His touchline antics and his weight issue is not good for his health.
So maybe the FA is subconsciously aiding his health by putting him in the stand away from the pressure.
The FA love him really...one of a rare breed of charismatic managers they want to save.

Joking aside, I know how hard it is to lose a few pounds, let alone 7-8 stone.

? lead by example ? ?
Let?s go with it - he?s just a bloke doing a job.
He?s got the place full up, the biggest away support ever - he ain?t our mum or dad and I think there is lots of things he says in interviews that do show intelligence and ? lead by example?
Anyway perhaps me being moody ?

Just because he?s got most things right since he arrived here, it doesn?t mean he?s never wrong and should be given carte blanche to act like a wally on the sidelines. It hurts the team and their performances, there is hard evidence to prove it. Even if it was a minimal point or two that it had cost us, that?s currently the difference between a play off place and not qualifying.
It also sends the message to the players, if the manager can repeatedly be ill disciplined then why can?t they.

Now that our form has dropped off I've noticed for the first time that Steve Evans is a bit excitable.
