Just like it did at the start of the season, already looks better with Pressley up front and without Roberts strolling around giving the ball away

If Oxford lose to Peterborough but then beat Lincoln and Lincoln also lose to Portsmouth then providing we beat Oxford, we could go into the last game needing to win by a certain number of goals to get the playoffs spot ahead of Oxford or Blackpool.
Providing we win the next two.
Yeah, easy. ?

Nice to see the players with the least minutes putting in great performances, Louis Thompson also showed his best in the second half.

With all the whinging on here before the game about the team selection. Pathetic. I think Steve Evans knows what he is doing

I recall half of this place demanding Aaron Pressley played.
So, if anything, Borochat won it.

People are allowed to comment on team selection. Easy to be right in hindsight.

If he did, getting us a few more points since the end of Feb so we were still in with a chance would have been helpful

It was interesting that when the team list came out there was a great nashing of teeth with everyone saying what was the point of going to the game as we were going to get stuffed.

Bit unfair on Roberts, sometimes he actively looks to get booked

Alan McInally said it was "onside, well onside" on Gillette Soccer Special.

I thought onside from the North Stand.
Nice of all of our defenders to just stop playing though.
Another failure to keep a clean sheet for a certain goalkeeper ?

Didn't cover himself in glory with a a couple of low crosses across the six yard box that he failed to do anything about.
Fortunate no-one gambling at the far post to tap in.

We will have to get used to it as Taye has replaced Pressley on the naughty step.

Yep. Regardless the defending was awful. Been caught a couple of times with long straight balls

Nicely done by Reid.
Shit defending from a Barnsley perspective and the keeper won't like getting beat at near post like that.

Shock, much better with Pressley up front. Not being funny but Evan's should have realised this months ago.

He played very well though, much better than Oliver.

In the case of Oliver and Hemmings vs an intelligent and talented young player who is being punished for nothing?.
Evans seems to have sent Pressley to Siberia for missing an interception in the Derby half. In the meantime Oliver, who is an honest lad, has been awful.
Odd

Pressley was immense last night. Won loads of headers and could have scored. He looked knackered after 80 minutes though. Carl was a bit up and down at the back, showed up at times by his lack of pace. TV was solid as ever. Reidy took his goal well, and looked to gain in confidence. Their keeper was at fault for both our goals, but did redeem himself a little with a couple of smart save in 2nd half. If they played like that for 46 games we would be easily in the play offs. There is very little between most of the teams in this division.
