Yesterday I'd have happily released him at the end of the season.

Today, after that performance, given how long he's been out, I'd give him a new contract. Easily good enough for L1 as a squad player.

He wasn't MOTM but he was solid, he grafted, he was composed and error free.

Well done Kane.

Shame not to see him in the side today.

I know there is competition for places, but he can cause problems running down the wing.

He signed a new deal at the start of the season, hopefully he has another year.

I’m not sure I’d give him a new contract but fully agree that his performance today was very good given the circumstances. If he can stay fit and continue in a similar vain then that would be a huge positive.

Don't know what his contract situation is, my point is, I'd keep him next season in L1.

I’m inclined to agree. I’ve always liked him but as someone mentions below, it’d be good to know the wider situation as to if he’s been injured all season or just out of favour (or both)

Both at various times Per Evans post match interview Stockport put a bid in Jan but he stayed
