A welcome return to form against newly promoted opposnets who are struggling to come to terms with the higher level. Apart from the resounding win the main bonus was the dynamic performance of youth team centre forward Shawn McCoulsky on his first start.

Hamlet were more or less on top from start to finish with the hosts restricted to just a few clear openings on the counter attack. We went in front late in the first half when Samuels passed out to McCoulsky on the left and his low cross to the near post was skilfully steered into the roof of the net by McDonald.

As the second half wore on it just seemed a case of making sure we didn't concede a soft equaliser before we scored again ourselves. The seoncd goal came after great work on the left by Carew, crossing towards the near post where McDonald was crowded out only for Gonsalves to ghost in unnoticed and rifle the ball into the net. A third goal arrived when McCoulsky made a powerful run down the middle from his own half; as he stumbled under a foul challenge he managed to knock the ball wide right to Carew, and with the ref playing a good advantage Carew switched the ball back into the middle for Ibrahim Mansaray to run through unchallenged and fire past he advancing keeper. McCoulsky was denied the goal he deserved by a very tight offside call, the whistle sounding after he'd broken clear and taken the ball past the keeper.

Team (4-3-3): Wilson - Hibbert, Forbes, Pinnock, Gonsalves - Carew, I.Mansaray, Samuels - Vidal, McCoulsky, McDonald.
Subs used: Boyle (for McDonald), Hysi (for Vidal), A.Mansaray (for I.Mansaray).
Attendance: 140
