An enjoyable evening, full of feisty football, littered with some tasty tackles and topped off with one of best individual goals I've seen from a player in Dulwich shirt since Lee Akers at Hitchin many moons ago. We went a goal down in the first half but Whitehawk goalie was by far the busiest. Made a good save from Jack Dixon in the first half and a couple of even better ones in the second half, including one from a defender's back header. The Dulwich goals came late on, the first from Michael Abnett with a Maradona-esque run beating at least five players before hammering the ball low past the advancing goalie. The winner came with about ten minutes left when a corner wasn't cleared properly and, as the ball was played back in low, Dean McDonald spun and slammed home from inside the six yard box. Prior to the goals there were a number of spurned chances with Luke Wanadio and Kevin James the culprits though truth be told the pitch may have played a part.
