Poppy Appeal & Armistice Day:

As I am sure our regular fans will know, but not newcomers, each year we have a collection in the ground prior to Armistice Day, for the Poppy appeal, working with the Dulwich Branch of the Royal British Legion as our guests.
This season the last home game prior to Remembrance Sunday is quite early, namely Saturday 22nd October versus AFC Sudbury. On this day the Dulwich Branch will be in attendance selling poppies and assorted poppy related items, for donations in their collecting tins.
The Football Club Committee will also be donating the proceeds from the '50/50' ticket sales on the day to their collection.
This year Armistice Day falls on Friday 11th November, and the Football Club will be holding a short non-denominational wreath laying ceremony in the Boardroom at 7.00pm. All fans are invited to attend.
Following this memorial event, where we honour & remember those Club members who fell in both World Wars, the bar will be open, and will be the ideal place to have a drink among friends, with the England versus Scotland qualifier being on the big screens as a backdrop. That match kicks off at 7.45pm.
So please come along, all are welcome.
